Kuari Pass Trek 

There is a mythology behind Kuari Pass. It is said that it is believed that the place where Lord Shiva is to reside is situated right in front of the Pass. In this place, Goddess Parvati used to meditate to marry Lord Shiva.

This place is in Uttarakhand. It is one of the oldest treks in the Garwal region. In 1905, Lord Curzon (Viceroy of India) reached Kuari Pass. It has an altitude of 12,516 ft. It takes around 4 to 6 days to complete this trek. It provides a beautiful view of India’s 2nd and 3rd highest peaks, Mt. Nanda Devi and Mt. Kamet.

 

Kedarkantha Trek 

There is a legendary story that Lord Shiva was disturbed by a bull during his meditation, so he went to Kedarkantha to meditate. This place is located in Uttarakhand. This place has an altitude of 12,500 ft.  This place is famous for its 360-degree views of the snow-capped Himalayas.

 

Sandhphu Trek 

It is the third-highest mountain in the world. It is known as “sleeping Buddha” because it looks like a man lying on his back, with his head, stomach, and feet. It is located in the Darjeeling District of West Bengal.

Its altitude is about 11,930 ft. It takes a minimum of 4 days to complete these trek. This trek is famous for its stunning view of the world’s four highest peaks: Everest, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, and Lhotse.

 

Brahmatal Trek

It is believed that Lord Brahma used to meditate in this place. This Brahmatal trek is located in Uttrakhand. Its altitude is about 12,150 ft. It takes a minimum of 4 days to complete these trek. Dayura Bugyal Trek

It is located in Uttarkashi, a district of Uttarakhand. Its altitude is about 12,000 ft. It takes a minimum of 5 to 6 days to complete these treks. This trek is the best in Uttrakhand. Chopta Chandshila Trek 

This place has various histories and mythologies associated with it; some of them is that it is believed that Lord Ram used to meditate here after defeating Ravana. This trek is located in Uttrakhand. Its altitude is about 13,000 ft.

It takes a minimum of 3 days to complete this trek. It is famous for its Tungnath Peak, which means “Moon Rock.” Because of its meadows and lush green pastures, it is also known as “Mini Switzerland.”

 

Har Ki Dum Trek 

This trek is located in Dehradun. Its altitude is about 12,000 ft. It takes a minimum of 7 to 9 days to complete this trek. It is famous for its waterfalls, snow-covered mountains, and beautiful hills.

 

Chadar Trek 

 This trek is located in Ladakh. Its altitude is about 11,123 ft. It takes a minimum of 9 to 10 days to complete this trek. It is famous for having one of the longest trekking trails in the Indian Himalayan region, which covers 62 km.

 

Goechala Trek 

This trek is located in Sikkim. Its altitude is about 16,207 ft. It takes a minimum of 11 days to complete this trek. It is famous for its high mountains that pass through Sikkim. The southeast face of Kanchenjunga, the world’s third highest mountain, can also be seen.

 

Kheerganga Trek

It is said that Lord Kartikeya, son of Shiva and Parvati, meditated in the caves for many years. This trek is located in Himachal Pradesh. Its altitude is about 9700 ft. It takes a minimum of 1 to 2 days to complete this trek. It is famous for its old, traditional villages and waterfalls, one of the most famous of which is Wat Rudra Na.
